Find and support great volunteers
One pathway for community and not-for-profit organisations: recruit volunteers, get practical management support, and build the skills of your team.
- Who it is for
- Community and not-for-profit organisations on the Border.
- What it costs
- Contact us to confirm current membership arrangements.
- What you get
- Role listings, referrals, management support and training.

Most volunteer roles that go unfilled fail at the description: too vague, too demanding, or written for the organisation rather than the volunteer. We have read thousands, and we will work on yours with you before it goes live. A good role description says what the volunteer will actually do, how much time it honestly takes, and what they will get out of it.
From listing to placement
- We help you write or sharpen the role description.
- The role goes live on the volunteering platform and into our matching conversations.
- We refer interested volunteers to you, and check in after placement to see how it is going.

- Designing roles people actually want to do
- Screening, police checks and Working with Children Checks
- Onboarding that keeps first-week enthusiasm alive
- Recognition and retention of long-serving volunteers
- Difficult conversations and managing exits well

Common questions
We are tiny. Two people. Is that too small?
No. Some of the best volunteer experiences on the Border are with very small groups. If you are incorporated and insured, you can register.
Do our volunteers become your volunteers?
No. They are always yours. We introduce, you manage, and we are here when you want advice.
We need someone yesterday. How fast is this?
If we already know a suitable volunteer, a referral can happen within days of registration.
Bring your organisation aboard
