Friendship that arrives regularly
We match volunteers with older people who would welcome the company, whether they live at home or in residential aged care. Visits are about an hour, once a fortnight.

What a visit looks like
A visit is not a service call. It is a cuppa, a chat, a game of cards, a walk in the garden. The same visitor comes each time, and real friendships form over months and years.
We match carefully: shared languages, shared interests, personalities that fit. Volunteers are police checked and trained before their first visit, and our coordinator supports every match for as long as it lasts.
How matching works
- You contact us, about yourself or on behalf of someone with their consent.
- Our coordinator visits to say hello and learn what kind of company would suit.
- We introduce a matched visitor and stay in touch with you both. If the match is not right, we try again.
Requesting a visitor
You can ask for yourself, or for a family member or someone you care for, with their agreement. Call 02 6021 0990 and ask for the Aged Care Volunteer Visitors coordinator, or send us a message and we will call you.
