Everyday essentials

  • Emergency help: police, fire, ambulance, call 000
  • Interpreting: TIS National 131 450, free for most services
  • Health: Albury Wodonga Health, community health centres, bulk-billing clinics
  • Housing: Homes NSW, Homes Victoria, and local housing services

Learning and work

  • Free English classes through the Adult Migrant English Program
  • TAFE NSW Albury and Wodonga TAFE courses and recognition of prior learning
  • Our own Pathways to Volunteering and Employment program
  • Volunteering as a first Australian workplace experience

Community and belonging

  • Our Cultural Exchange programs: Coffee and Cards, Conversations in English
  • Local multicultural associations and faith communities
  • Libraries in Albury, Lavington and Wodonga, free to join
  • Sport clubs, community gardens and playgroups that welcome new members
